We touch heaven when we lay our hands on a human body.

*Vesalius*

Massage is an ancient healing art that has its foundation in the basic human need for touch. This discipline provides compassionate, informed touch to address and heal imbalances we carry in our bodies.

I have practiced massage therapy & bodywork in the Tuscaloosa community since 1997. I strive to provide every client with an opportunity to enhance their capacity for self-healing on all levels. My appreciation of the sacred privilege of working with people in this vein informs my approach to every session.

In 1985, I graduated from the Atlanta School of Massage, and I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since that time. Since 2002, I have been a Reiki Master Teacher. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level (RYT500) with Yoga Alliance. I also hold a Masters degree in Community Psychology.

Over the years, my continuing education in massage & bodywork, and the focus of my practice, have been primarily orthopedic & sports massage, relief of strain due to imbalance & overuse, myofascial release & stretch techniques, and various approaches to subtle energywork. Experiences with my clients over the years have been the most valuable teachings about restoring balance, healthy function, and comfort in our physical and energetic bodies.

Thank you!

The one thing I know for certain

and have applied every day in my life

is that the mind and the body are one.
